Cool music thing
Mar. 17th, 2009 12:23 pmSome friends of mine made this cool social music listening software called MixApp, and you all should check it out.
It's basically a series of music chat rooms. When you join a room (or start a new room), you can hear the music playing in that room, and you can add songs to the playlist in that room. You can add songs from your iTunes library, or from the library of anyone else logged into MixApp. It's a great way to discover new music, share music you've found with other people, and talk about music. You can listen to all sorts of music you don't own, and it's perfectly legal.
They've been operating for a while now on an invite-only basis (under the name Cohearing), but today is open-invite day, so up to 100 of you can just click on the link below and try it out. Right now their software only runs on the mac (and the iphone), but Windows and linux versions are in the works.

(Feel free to point people not on my friends list here. And if somehow all 100 invites get used up, I should be able to get more. Remember, it only works today!)
